Module 3B: Nurseries and Nursery Establishment on TerraMatch

In this module, you will learn how to establish nursery profiles on TerraMatch.

Nursery profiles are required for any nurseries that your organization is building or managing for to produce seedlings for your TerraFund project. If your organization is procuring seedlings only from an external source, you will not need to create nursery profiles.

This is Part 2 of the third training module that is required as part of your TerraFund project. The previous section of the module was released in mid-March, and the following section will be released in the coming weeks. You can access all available onboarding modules from the right side of this page, under "Other Articles in this Section."

NOTE: This module includes a Knowledge Check; this is a form with a short quiz and a space to share YOUR questions with the team. Any questions you put here will be used by the team to shape our discussion at the upcoming meeting that will follow this module. Section 1: What is a Nursery Profile?

A nursery profile represents a single nursery or a grouping of nurseries that your organization is running to produce seedlings for your TerraFund project. You will report on progress for each nursery profile every six months.

Within a nursery profile, you'll be asked to provide a few basic details and targets for your nursery(/ies), including the following information: 

• Nursery name
• Management approach
• Start and end dates for operations
• Target number of seedlings to be produced, by species
