In this module, you will learn how to establish your site profile(s) on TerraMatch.

Section 1: What is a Site Profile? 

A site profile represents a single restoration area or a group of restoration areas - the location(s) on the ground where your project is implementing restoration interventions. 

Please review the Project Structures on TerraMatch to understand the different siting approaches based on the proximity of your restoration areas. Also review Grouping Restoration Areas into Sites on TerraMatch understand how you may be able to group restoration locations into site profiles to streamline your biannual progress reporting on TerraMatch.

Within a site profile, you'll be asked to provide the following types of details:

• Site name
• Site characteristics
• Restoration strategy and target land use
• Land tenure and details on your right to access the area
• Grouping strategy
• Start and end date for restoration interventions
• Approximate area (in hectares)
• For sites with assisted natural regeneration as an intervention: details on the baseline conditions, your specific planned interventions, and your target number of trees to be regenerated

Please note: each site profile on TerraMatch will also house a polygon or multiple polygons to represent the exact location(s) where your project is working. We will provide detailed guidance on polygon collection in a future module.
