When you visit TerraMatch, you may have noticed some changes to the platform. This is because TerraMatch is changing the way we are matching projects with support. We will no longer organically match project pitches with funders. Instead, the platform will be advertising opportunities that organizations can apply for directly on TerraMatch. On Wednesday, April 5, we officially launched our first call for proposals hosted on TerraMatch: TerraFund for AFR100 Landscapes. You can review more about this opportunity here.
While the updates made this week shouldn't affect your ability to report on your PPC projects, there some changes outlined below that are relevant to your experience on the platform. If you have any issues on TerraMatch, please email info@terramatch.org and we will address it ASAP.
STAY TUNED: We are planning to launch future updates this year to improve your experience reporting with the IMP on TerraMatch. If you are interested in providing input into some of the upcoming changes, please reach out to jubril.juma.5@wriconsultant.org.
Improvements and Changes to TerraMatch
1. New Navigation + Homepage
The most obvious change to the platform is the new navigation and homepage.
The homepage shows a dashboard for Applications, Projects, and Reports. Today, the projects and reports tab will remain empty of all users, but we will be surfacing your PPC due reports and project notifications on this dashboard in a future release to improve the user experience of TerraMatch.
The navigation has changed slightly to better reflect the new orientation of the platform and to link to the new TerraMatch Help Center. Below you will see the new navigation and a short description of each linked page.
My Projects: Your reporting tasks and projects have moved from "Monitoring" to "My Projects". This page has not been updated, but we have plans to improve this page this year to make reporting easier and more intuitive for users
My Organization: We have updated the organization page to include more information to correspond with the call for proposal updates. You don't need to fill any additional information on your organization page, but you can now accept invitations to join your organization on this page under the "Meet the Team" tab. You can learn more below. We will be re-adding the ability for you to add people to your organization in May, but if you are having issues adding an user to your organization, you can reach out to us at info@terramatch.org.
Notifications: The notifications tab has remained unchanged in this release, but will be making this page more useful in the future.
Help Center: This tab links to the TerraMatch Help Center: a new resource for all project developers on TerraMatch. You can learn more about the Help Center below.
2. New TerraMatch Help Center
We have also launched the new TerraMatch Help Center, designed to help project developers navigate the TerraMatch platform. We have a section for all PPC and IMP related questions that you can access here and find easily from the TerraMatch Help Center homepage.
If you have an additional question on the PPC or are having issues using the IMP on TerraMatch, you can submit a request for help either through the chat bot located on the Help Center or through the form on this page. We will continue to add content to Help Center to answer common questions, so please let us know if you what guidance you would like to be included in this resource.
3. Ability for Users to Join Organizations
While we have temporarily removed the ability for people to invite new users to join their organization, new users who join the platform now have the choice to either create a new organization OR join an existing organization when they join the platform. This should remove some of the onboarding issues we have witnessed in the past.
When someone on your team requests to join your organization, you will receive an email with the request. To accept the request you must login and navigate the to "My Team" tab on your organizational profile. You will see the request like the one listed below. Simple accept or reject the request and your teammate will be notified via email.
If you have any issues, TerraMatch admins can easily add new users to any organization once a user has signed up and verified their account. You can contact TerraMatch Support at info@terramatch.org.
